Statement of Intent:
My music video will be based on Olivia Rodridgo’s song Deja Vu. My artist will be called Cherie and she will be endorsing Nike. My music magazine will be called PopBliss.
Media Language:
I plan to meet the brief by using the the two different locations: at home( for an environment which highlights comfort as she’s getting over a break up) and at an outdoor park( to show nature but still in a fun way). I would use a range of camera shots : establishing shots

most of the music video will have darker lowkey lighting as it’s suppose to signify heartbreak which is a dark time however for the scenes in which it’s showing happy moments i will use editing to make sure it looks brighter so there can be a clear binary opposition( dark and light/ happy and sad)
As Rodrigo’s music is very popular and can related to younger generations as it’s very pop song with highs and lows.
For my music magazine, i’ll use a very angsty looking sad but hints of brighter elements to show the contrasts. The peice inside will focus on how she has grown as an artist in such a short time and her inspirations for her music.
I will use mise-en-scene:
costume: She will be in casual comfortable clothes to highlight healing but still needing comfort. They’ll be a jacket throughout highlighting her past and how she’s leaving that behind.
lighting: Most of my shots will be dark and use lowkey lighting but i will contrasts them using light ones to emphasises phases of heartbreak.
actor placement: My actors body language will be comfortable and less strict and awkward.
makeup: She has simple makeup on towards the begin and in the end she’ll have her makeup smearing down her face to highlight her sadness.
props: I use props of ice cream which goes along with the lyrics, and bubbles which fit with the fun aspect of the mv
setting: I’m using a bedroom and a outdoor (park) for two different locations.

My music video will reinforce the stereotype that women are likely to feel a lot more pain that a man after a breakup but it also subverts them as it shows they can move on and be happy. It will show social and cultural changes in society as it shows women not being as subserving towards men and fighting back and not being meek and silenced.

Other artist the audiences will enjoy are Savrina Carpenter and Selena Gomez as they have a feminine love song discography. They enjoy entertainment and find personal identity in celebrities as they want to live their lifestyles.

The music video will be spread through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram and as the song is a pop song a TikTok dance is more likely to be made for it. This fits right in with the footwear sponsorship as in the Instagram post as its more personal it will include the artist wearing said footwear brand
And as there is a footwear sponsorship the brand will use it to promote the shoe which gives more exposure to the song and the artist music. My record label called KGC Music suits my artist as they promote bringing a more feminine style back to music as a a major conglomerate. This will be reflected in my production from the quality and direction of my music video.
